FAQ
How can I get a free version of GSP ?
A: The standard version of GSP is free for non-profit use and can be downloaded in the download section. With the standard version you have access to two component libraries (i.e. the standard and the generic control system libraries). Support is only available through the on-line help; for further support you must obtain a registered version. |
How can I get a registered version of GSP ?
A: A registered version of GSP can be obtained by contacting us through the Request for Information form. The National Aerospace Laboratory NLR supports registered users of GSP by answering questions and assisting in solving problems, according to the limitations in the license agreement. Extensive support or assistance with development of new models and NLR developed customized components will be provided only in conjunction with extended license agreements or additional contract assignments to NLR. |
Where can I get assistance for my problem ?
A: The first step is referring to the context sensitive on-line help provided with GSP, an efficient way to learn about the simulation environment and component model features. Further information on the thermodynamics and numerical mathematics applied in the simulation environment and component models can be obtained from the GSP Technical Manual. This manual is required for more advanced use, including the development of new gas turbine models and new component models. If the on-line help and GSP Technical Manual do not provide sufficient information, you can contact us through the Request for Information form. Extensive support or assistance with development of new models and NLR developed customized components will be provided only in conjunction with extended license agreements or additional contract assignments to NLR. |
What about the upgrade policy ?
A: Since GSP standard is free, you can just download the new version from the download section. Registered users receive free updates of GSP and their custom component libraries upon request for the major version number GSP has been bought. Notification about a new version is done through a newsletter to all registered users and those who have expressed interest through the Feedback form. (Notifications on BETA releases are not distributed!) |
Is there a Linux or Macintosh version available ?
A: GSP is only available for MS-Windows. A Linux or a Macintosh version is not and will not be available. |
